Blue & Green Flames. Poetry, with illustrations in the works.

High bright white and amber hued ceiling
cold stone black and gray marble floors

As I huddle in the middle of a room with no door
I stare ahead, my eyes jaded green and faded blue
the walls stand shaded with all the colors of my life

Scenes from my past, concepts of my future
all of my dreams, abstracts and emotional colors
they all surround me now
painted over every facet of boundary around me
I stare blankly ahead, I glance vaguely behind
my eyes blue and green jaded
I melt as every image begins to bleed together
forming one blurry picture of nothingness
nothing makes sense there anymore

Although the floor and ceiling
the black and white spaces remain unchanged
the dark and bright spaces are all I now have
the gray areas unfurl away like rising smoke

I am given the clarity to choose what happens next

I am made able to break through the oppression
the oppression of my own brokenness and apathy
allowing my world to grow out into the larger picture
my frame of mind is repaired, the twist is healed
the wall images themselves were not the full problem

The eyes are windows into the core self
my eyes are faded blue and flames of jade.
